Browns Beach

Visit Brown’s Beach on Saratoga Lake for a full day of swimming. Since it’s open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., you can spend your day paddleboarding, kayaking, and canoeing. If you get hungry, there’s a snack shack on-site, or delight in a lakeside meal at Dock Brown’s!
*Beach pass fee

Peerless Pool

Looking for a place for the whole family to enjoy? Peerless Pool, located in Saratoga Spa State Park, is perfect for little ones who love swimming. It’s a favorite among locals, including summer camps, because there are three different pool areas: Kiddie Pool, Main Pool, and Water Slides! Thanks to the “Get Offline, Get Outside” campaign, this pool is free to use all summer.
*Park fee

Victoria Pool

Although the pool is no longer heated, the Victoria Pool was the first heated pool in the country! Enjoy a drink while you swim or lounge in a chair to soak up some rays! Since the pool is located in a State Park, there are no pool fees, but regular park fees still apply. The pool is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.!

Lake George

Beaches

Lake George is gorgeous this time of year and offers six beaches for swimming! Lake George Village has Shepard Park and Million Dollar Beach or Usher Park along the eastern shore. Close by in Bolton Landing, you can go swimming at Rogers Memorial Park and Veteran Memorial Park. Rather spend a quiet day on the water? Then check out Hague Town Beach Park.

Island Campsites

Did you know you can rent a whole island in Lake George? There are dozens of day and overnight sites, all with boat docks, perfect for swimming! However, you will need to rent or own a boat to access the sites!

Log Bay

Log Bay is a very popular swimming spot in the Lake George Area; although it is easier to access by boat, there is a foot trail. If you go to Shelving Rock, park, or walk to lot 6, you can follow the trail straight down to Log Bay and Paradise Bay. Enjoy floating in the waves, or for the more adventurous, jump off the rocks into the refreshing water.

Rome

Municipal Pool

From 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., enjoy a dip in the Municipal Pool at 500 W. Embargo St. in Rome, NY! As one of the City of Rome’s two full-sized pools, it is handicap accessible, and amenities include a bathhouse, restrooms, and waterslides!

Tosti Pool

Whether you love to swim or want to practice being the next Michael Phelps, the full-sized Tosti Pool is perfect for this summer. It even has a diving board and tube water slide! Plus, the pool is handicap accessible and has a bathhouse and restrooms.

Guyer Field Pool

Guyer Field Pool has a ramp instead of stairs, making it wheelchair accessible. The wading pool is perfect for toddlers, only reaching a height of 1 foot 10 inches. Starting July 1, the pool is open daily from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. through August 16.
